Frequently Asked Questions
How do I join ΦLIA?
ΦLIA is an invite-only community. You need an invite code from an existing member to create an account. If you don’t have one, you can join our waitlist through the app.
How do I edit my profile?
Open the app, tap the Profile tab, then tap “Edit Profile.” From there you can update your photo, bio, introduction, causes, and more.
How do connections work?
At events, you can scan another member’s QR code to send a connection request. Once they confirm, you’ll be connected and can see each other’s social links and contact info.
What are Aura points?
Aura points reflect your participation in the ΦLIA community. You earn points by attending events, making connections, and completing your profile. Higher Aura unlocks features like event creation and the member directory.
How do I RSVP to an event?
Go to the Events tab, tap on an event, and tap the RSVP button. You can set your status to Going or Maybe, and optionally add a plus-one if the event allows it.
How do I check in at an event?
The event organizer will display a QR code at the venue. Open the event in the app and tap “Check In” to scan it. Check-ins earn you Aura points.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Profile → Data & Privacy → Delete My Account. This will permanently remove all your data, including your profile, connections, and event history. This action cannot be undone.
I forgot my phone number or can't receive the verification code
Make sure you’re entering the correct US phone number. The verification code is sent via SMS and typically arrives within a few seconds. If you continue to have trouble, contact us at support@philia.social.
Report a Problem
If you encounter a bug, experience inappropriate behavior from another member, or have a safety concern, please email us at support@philia.social with a description of the issue. You can also flag a member’s profile directly in the app.
Account & Data
You can manage your data and privacy settings in the app under Profile → Data & Privacy. From there you can:
- Export your personal data
- Control your phone number visibility
- Delete your account and all associated data
